A not for profit industry association that encourages sustainable community development through the incorporation of education, environment, culture and heritage with tourism
Established in 2010, CETA, the Canadian EduTourism Associates Cooperative Limited, is a one of a kind, not for profit association with a mandate of raising the awareness of the social and economic benefits of sustainable edutourism. Our intention is to increase the International understanding of the value and importance of the social and economic value of Sustainable Tourism, through the incorporation of Education, Culture, Heritage and Environment with Tourism.
One of the ways in which this is done is by uniting education, cultural, environment and tourism partners through an annual conference or experiential education program. This has the potential of creating a socially and economically sustainable tourism product that benefits the region and its' visitors.
The 2010 International Conference was held in Havana Cuba and and was supported by the Melia Group of Companies, Cuban Ministry of Tourism and the Canadian Foreign Affairs and International Trade Canada, through the Embassy in Havana.
